Yes, all of the clinical team who review your consultations are fully qualified prescribing pharmacists who have undergone additional training. All of our pharmacists and prescribing pharmacists are fully qualified and GPhC registered.
If we need to, our prescribing pharmacists may get in touch to confirm the information you provided when completing your treatment questionnaire. If you have any queries throughout the process, you can contact our clinical team by emailing service@name.com or calling 020 3475 3247.
Please allow up to 2 working weekdays for your consultation to be reviewed by our clinicians. Consultations completed after 2pm on Friday, or over the weekend, will be queued for review on the following Monday. Once approved, orders will be sent via our FREE Tracked 24 service, which can take from 1 to 3 days.
Yes. As your health can vary over time, we like to check in with all new and returning patients to ensure there are no new underlying health concerns that may cause issues with a treatment.
No, you can only place an order for yourself. During the questionnaire stage you’ll be asked to confirm that the item(s) are for your own use, and you’ll be asked personal medical details that are critical in our review of your order.
When you complete your order we’ll ask you to provide your card payment details, but we’ll only take payment when our clinicians approve your items*. This may show on your bank statement as a ‘pending transaction’ and you’ll need to have the funds in your bank account at the time of completing your order.
If our clinicians are unable to approve your order on medical grounds, the transaction will be cancelled at our end and the funds released from the "pending transaction" state.
*On the rare occasion where we’ve not been able to complete your consultation review within 6 days, your order total will leave your account. This usually happens because we’re performing final suitability checks and making sure the treatment requested is right for you (such as information from your GP or we’ve asked you for additional health details). If we then cannot approve your order, the full amount will be automatically refunded back to you.
These are revolutionary injectable treatments proven to help you lose weight. They stimulate hormonal receptors related to energy and appetite, and can help you achieve your weight loss goals when combined with dietary and lifestyle changes
Depending on the treatment you use, they stimulate two different naturally occurring hormonal receptors: glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) and glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP).
GLP-1 helps to regulate blood sugar levels, which in turn talks to the brain to make you feel less hungry and prevent cravings. It also slows down the emptying of the stomach to keep you feeling fuller for longer.
GIP regulates energy balance in brain and fat cells, enhancing the GLP-1 effect of suppressing your appetite and improving sugar control.
The active ingredient in Wegovy is Semaglutide. Semaglutide belongs to a class of GLP-1 medications which contributes to reducing hunger pangs, slowing gastric emptying, and increasing insulin production. The active ingredient in Mounjaro is Tirzepatide. This has a similar effect; decreasing food intake and slowing gastric emptying.
If your treatment is followed correctly and you adopt lifestyle changes (healthier eating and exercise) you can lose up to 15% to 20% of your bodyweight in a 17-month period. Results are dependent on the treatment you choose, as clinical studies show varying results per treatment type.
To ensure safe supply, we ask patients to meet our eligibility requirements for injectable weight loss medications. Our eligibility are as follows:
It is common to experience side effects as you increase your dosage over time. Common side effects of these medications include nausea, headaches, diarrhoea and vomiting. We would expect these to subside in a few weeks into your treatment plan.
These weight loss medications are approved for use by the MHRA, the UK government department responsible for ensuring that medicines and medical devices work and are safe.
Your treatment will be supervised by our qualified pharmacists and clinical team at all times. If you experience any side effects or changes in overall health, you must let us know so we can ensure your safe health & wellbeing.
Treatment prices will start from around £79 per month; including your medication, at-home delivery and the supportive oversight of our clinical team. As your treatment progresses and your monthly dosage increases, the monthly price may also increase.
Phlo's clinical team will check in regularly with you via email to see how you are progressing with treatment. Towards the end of your first month, you will receive reminder emails with instructions on how to re-order your next dose. You will be directed to a shorter clinical consultation designed to assess how you are getting on with your treatment and whether or not you need a dosage adjustment. You can also log in to your Mission MNT account and re-order this way should you choose. For optimal results, we encourage patients to take a long term view of this treatment on a monthly basis until you reach your weight loss goal.
We advise patients to contact their local council as the first option as they can usually arrange collection from your home address or provide guidance on local drop off points. Some pharmacies will also accept sharps bins for disposal but this will be at the discretion of the particular pharmacy.
If you need to know who the Responsible Pharmacist was when your medication was supplied please contact the Phlo Patient Care team.
